Whether it was the F-1, F-100 or F-150, the light-duty pickup of Ford's F-Series line of trucks has superseded the popularity of simply any other vehicle. Since 1975, when its name was first changed to the F-150, it has been the post popular selling vehicle in America. For the past 48 years this truck has changed the ways that lives of hundreds of thousands of people. It's held a unique spot in the hearts of many as it can be utilized as a worksite hauler, an off-road weekender, a local commuter, and a with the option of a crew-cab, a family friendly vehicle.
This website attempts to archive the dashboards of the 14 generations of F-Series pickup trucks through their 75 years of history. Each model year may incorporate numerous changes to the interiors, exteriors, and drive trains of these vehicles. Meaning that it is seemly impossible to archive each individual model year, instead these 14 generations of dashboards attempt to accurately recreate and display the major changes between them. Consider each of these dashboards a flashback to a different time period and design methodology.
